We're going to a wedding in Westerly, RI next week. Anyone have any
recommendations for fun (and relatively easy) boxes to get in that area? I'd love to try
some places I can bring my 18-month old daughter and non-LB'er husband. I think
we're going to go for some of the boxes in Mystic and Westerly. We've never been to
this area before and sometimes I can't tell just from reading the clues if I might be
getting myself into more difficult treks so... I'd love any advice I can get.
thanks is advance!

There are a number of boxes at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic
that are family friendly. Some by us, some by Melissa & Dan, and one
DrewClan. Check out:

Some of the boxes are on longer walks than others, but you can get a map at
the front desk and plan your attack accordingly.
Captain's Walk is a must-do. You can either do the lovely walk down River Rd
to get there or just drive up :-)
(Make sure you read the logbook too...)
Either way, River Rd is one of the most scenic drives in the area.

Olde Mystic Village is also easy (plus there's loads of good shopping). The
restaurant "Go Fish" is one of the better ones in the area too, if you're
looking for recommendations.

Hmmm - it looks like my email program munged the weblinks, so here they are
again...
If they wrap onto two lines, you might need to type them into your web
browser by hand.

I've enjoyed the Watch Hill letterboxes immensly! However, be prepared for
traffic, as it is packed this time of year!

Miss Vickie -- I'd recommend Bird House Heaven in Westerly as the
easiest box in that town. There's some walking involved, but it's
not out of hand, and the clues are explicit.
One that appears easy, but isn't, is the Wilcox Park box. It is
currently MIA.
Have fun!
